Mission & Serving
Put Your Faith in Action Near and Far
At Wayne Street Church, we call volunteers Helpers — people who use their time, talents, and spiritual gifts to make a difference. Whether serving locally through hands-on support or joining missions that extend beyond our walls, Helpers find purpose by being the hands and feet of Christ. It’s not about perfection — it’s about showing up, serving together, and living out faith in real, meaningful ways.
I Have A Question.
I’m busy. How much time do I need to serve?
It depends. Within the church there are one-time projects that need the time and talent of Helpers (volunteers) that could take an hour, a community mission project that could take a morning, or a mission trip that could take a week.
What is a Helper?
A Helper is a volunteer that selflessly gives of their time and talent to help others in need whether it’s in the church, in the local community, or serving the world.
What type of Helper Spots are available in the Church?
You name it, we can find a spot for you! From helping prep food for a special event to welcoming guests to worship, to spring landscaping clean-up or serving on a leadership team or huddle, there is always a place for you to serve. How can I be a Helper on community-based mission projects?
Every community has challenges, and St. Marys is no exception. We partner with various community non-profit organizations to identify trending needs and together identify avenues to address the needs. Contact our Connection & Discipleship Coordinator for more information.
Are there Mission Trips available within the US or internationally?
