Plan Your Visit

Ready for a Fresh Start?

Let’s be real: walking into a new church can feel awkward. We get it. That’s why we’ve designed your entire experience — from the moment you click “directions” to when you walk out the door — to help you feel seen, not sized up.

Our Connection Point Team isn’t just here to hand you a bulletin. They’re ready to listen, answer your questions, and help you find your next step — whether that’s joining a small group, volunteering with a justice initiative, or just grabbing coffee.

No scripts. No pressure. Just real people creating space for you to explore faith, belong, and grow at your own pace.

Register Your Kids

We’d love to have your children test drive our Kids’ and Youth ministry and worship. Ensuring the safety of your child is our top priority. All of our ministry staff have been screened and background checked for safety.

Ready to Explore Your Faith at WSC?

First Time Visit

You’re welcome here — exactly as you are. No expectations, no performance. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning after a long break, or just curious, you belong.

When you arrive, look for our Connection Point Team — they’re the ones with lanyards, ready to walk with you, not just point the way. Share that you’re visiting or pre-registered, and they’ll guide you to the Connection Point Center, just to the right after you enter. They can answer questions, give you a quick tour, and help with childcare or youth programs — no pressure, just support.

From there, settle in. There’s no script, no spotlight. Just space to reflect, engage, or simply be present during the service.

And we’re not done when you leave. If you shared your info, we’ll follow up with a personal note — not a mass email — to check in, answer questions, and invite you to something meaningful, like a small group or local service event. Because belonging isn’t about one visit. It’s about being seen, remembered, and walking together.

Do You Have Questions?

When are Worship Experiences held?

We offer two Worship Services on Sundays. A traditional service is held at 8:30 a.m., and a contemporary service is held at 10:45 a.m.

Do you offer contemporary and traditional services?

Yes, we are sensitive to the needs and various ways in which people prefer to experience worship.

First Light – 8:30 a.m.

First Light is our classic, cozy way to start the morning. You’ll hear familiar hymns led by our organist, pray the Lord’s Prayer together, and sing the Doxology. Come just as you are — casual clothes are always welcome — though Pastor Tim will be in his Pastoral robe for this traditional service. If you love meaningful worship rooted in tradition and a peaceful start to your Sunday, First Light is for you.

Awaken – 10:45 a.m.

Awaken is our high-energy, contemporary service that brings worship to life. Music is led by the Awaken Band, featuring songs you may recognize from the radio along with a few new favorites. This service is interactive and Spirit-filled — sometimes people even come forward for prayer as we lay hands on them. Awaken is designed to move your heart, energize your faith, and help you grow deeper in your walk with Jesus. Dress is very casual, so come comfortable and ready to worship.

What is offered for infants and children during the worship experience?

So that others may engage without distraction in the worship experience, we provide nursery care for all children ages 3 and under during both worship services.

During our Awaken Worship service, we also offer a children’s church program called WOW (Worship Our Way) for children in Pre-K through 3rd grade. Children begin the service in the sanctuary for praise and worship, then are dismissed to the children’s area before the sermon. Parents or caregivers can pick them up from the children’s area after the service concludes.

Will I have to stand up and be called out as a visitor?

No, we do not ask our guests and visitors to stand and be recognized at any point during the worship service.

Am I expected to give money on my visit?

There is no expectation that a guest or visitor is expected to provide any monetary funds during their visit. The offering is a way for the Wayne Street Church family to respond to God and join the mission of the church. The worship experience is our gift to you, and in your own time, you’ll determine when intentional giving of your time and talents feels right for you.
