Steps to Spiritual Growth at WSC

You’ve visited, you’re curious, and you’re wondering: Can I be myself here? We get it. Faith isn’t about having it all together — it’s about showing up, asking questions, and growing together.

At WSC, we’re not about perfect people or polished performances. We’re about real community, honest conversations, and faith that matters beyond Sundays. Here, you’ll find a place to belong, serve, and explore what it means to follow Jesus in a world that needs love, justice, and hope.

Welcome to Connection Pathway!

We’ve designed this four-step pathway to help to ensure Wayne Street Church is a good fit to meet your expectations, grow your relationship with God, establish meaningful connections to the church family, and discover your God-given gifts and how they can be used to serve others. As you take this journey, know that your church family is praying for you.

Step 1

Seeker

As a Seeker, the first step is to meet 1:1 with our Senior Pastor. We know you have questions, and he wants to hear what you are seeking and understand your expectations for a church.

Step 2

Explorer

As an Explorer, it’s time to dig deeper into understanding what WSC is really all about. In this 4-week class you’ll explore topics such as Faith, Forms of Grace, Public Expression, and Church structure & leadership.

Step 3

Participant

As a Participant, you’ve been exposed to and are becoming more acclimated to the various avenues within the church. To help you to continue to navigate, make connections, and grow relationships, you will be assigned a Guide, who will act as a mentor and provide communication, support, and connect you to opportunities within the church such as Bible Studies, LifeGroups, children and youth Ministry, and Helper (volunteer) opportunities.

Partner

You have prayerfully discerned that WSC is a good fit for you and you’d like to be an active and vibrant Partner (member). We couldn’t be more ecstatic than to have you join the WSC family!

As a Partner, you will have voting privileges on church-related matters, as well have exclusive access to leadership and teaching opportunities.

Becoming a Partner is a time of celebration, and a private Covenant Day celebration will take place.
